Somnium Nostri

For 25 years, the founding fathers behind the Somnium Nostri foundation are working in Africa. Somnium Nostri means in Latin: our dream.

Our dream is that Africa can stand on its own feet and be totally independent of help. We want to achieve this by helping existing companies and local entrepreneurs to set up companies with technical and financial help and training where necessary.

It is our dream of an Africa where we can live happily and in peace with each other and work towards a bright future for the children of Africa. The SN-Africa is set up by engineers for the new engineers of Africa.

SN-Africa, together with committed communities and generous donors, has facilitated the economic development of local communities in Africa, and in so doing, improved the lives and livelihoods. The SN-Foundation was born out of the belief that, through effective training and collaboration, with legitimate local leadership and schooling in place, rural communities are empowered to enable development on a far more successful and sustainable scale.
